De jeunes cavalières et cavaliers chevauchent leurs franches-montagnes de 3 ans et plus, sans selle, sans étriers et cela à vive allure sur les 1500 mètres de la piste en herbe de l’IENA. Les participants sont des habitués de courses campagnardes et ils s’affrontent régulièrement au marché-concours (JU), à Vuippens (FR), à Schwarzenburg (BE) mais la course sur l’hippodrome à Avenches est incontournable pour eux.
